Meet Nichol “Like the Coin” Wuertemberger. This outstanding Fellow is a great example of positivity, leadership, beach volleyball skill and what it means to be a part of Orr. Find out more about him below.

Tell me about your host company and your role.

hc1.com, the company that holds the “work” tag on my Google Maps profile, is 80 people strong, located on the northwest side of Indianapolis, and a “blast & a half” to work at daily.  My primary role here is to provide outstanding solutions to our sales & marketing teams in order to help them knock sales calls out of the park, while also serving our future clients.  Some people call this “solution consulting”.

What’s the best part of the Orr Fellowship?

All my life I have said I’m “all about the people”, and Orr Fellowship has only enhanced this mentality for me.  Between my 2 years as an Orr Fellow, I will have met more than 120 peers that are driven to live out their passions in expectation shattering ways. To be around so many rock stars right out of college is an incomparable experience that I will forever be thankful for.

What could I find you doing on a Saturday afternoon?

A more appropriate question is ‘What can’t you find me doing?’. Indianapolis has a world of opportunity and adventure to offer young people and I have said yes to more things that I thought I ever would.  Between The Largest Potluck in Indianapolis to Fountain Square Events like Swing Dancing, I have never found myself short of Saturday afternoon activities!

What’s one thing not many people know about you?

I don’t share this often, but one thing that has recently been laid on my heart is bridging the transition recent college grads go through as they enter the “real world.”  Life is hard and building relationships takes time, but promoting a fun, inviting, encouraging environment for peers to interact is one of my current life goals.

If you could tell your past self one thing at the beginning of senior year, what would you say?

Life is too short to sweat the small stuff… and by the way, everything eventually becomes small stuff!  What we were challenged by last year is nothing compared to what we are challenged by today. Trust, have faith, and don’t worry about tomorrow.  All you can impact is the here, the now, and the present.  Also, go check out this sweet group called Orr Fellowship… they could have quite the offer for you!
